The project has taken several large strides forward over the last few days. The project documentation is now completed, bar the project closure report. Some interesting points were noted when compiling the project execution documentation. For instance, several risks were identified during the project and as a result two contingency plans were implemented. It is testament to the project management planning and controls put in place that these risks did not put the project behind schedule, nor cause work to come to a standstill.
The second stride forward is feedback from the teachers who were testing the application. This was a huge risk to take, but thankfully it has been worth it. Both teachers have replied with completed questionnaires from both themselves, and their students - totaling more than fifty respondents. This is fantastic news for the project as it will allow for a detailed analysis of the data which should provide some very interesting insight into the application of HCI principles to a Natural User interface (NUI).
This is the next and final stage of the project before initiating the project closure procedures and holding a final acceptance review with the project sponsor. The data is currently being collated for analysis. This will be carried out over the next two days. The aim of this is to answer the research question and hopefully contribute some new knowledge to the areas of HCI and NUI development.
